Frequently asked questions
Why is your quote more expensive than another quote
We are based on the Northern beaches and mainly service this area, aluminium has special conditions for areas within 6kms of the Ocean. We only use powdercoated and especially anodised extrusion that will last longer than some competitors who are not using the same products
Another company made my doors and window screens, they have little white dots all over the mesh and are fairly new, why has this happened?
‘Electrolysis’ Using aluminium mesh on windows close to the ocean tend to suffer from this kind of deterioration. It’s bad, because it may stain your glass over time. Although you may be in a BAL 19 area and Aluminum mesh is cheaper than Stainless steel, we recommend using the Stainless steel BAL 40 mesh, as it more suited to lasting in coastal areas
Why do you ask for us the client to provide you information and photos?
This helps us provide you with an idea of the cost before coming out to measure up the job. This way of doing things has been widely accepted when wanting to get several quotes while maintaining minimum contact, this has increased in the last few years for obvious reasons
